Leslie Joan Millenson is an accomplished marketing / communications professional with more than 30 years of experience helping not-for-profits and service sector businesses effectively position themselves with key target audiences. She has developed a deep portfolio of marketing / communications competencies in leadership positions in successful not-for-profit organizations, in marketing agencies, and as an independent consultant. Her core competencies include strategic market planning, development communications, identity, image, and promotional brochures, speech and script writing, grant writing, public relations, and video production. She has worked with national foundations, including the Ford Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundations, with Jewish Federations in major urban centers, and with dozens of hospitals, colleges and universities, public charities, social service agencies, and religious institutions.
Leslie has collaborated with Scott Ward for more than two decades, both in her role as a founding partner of Lipman Hearne Inc., the national marketing / communications firm serving the not-for-profit sector, and, more recently, under the banner of her consulting practice The Millenson Collaborative. Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, she served as Senior Account Executive for Lesnik & Company, and before that was Director of Communications for the Academy of General Dentistry, the North American professional association for general dentists.
