DePaul University was preparing to launch a $100 million capital campaign. Despite the University’s immeasurable contributions to Chicago, market research indicated that DePaul needed to increase awareness of its impact on the city prior to the campaign launch. The marketing strategy? Reinforce DePaul’s contributions and position the academic institution as a “Cornerstone” of the city. This logo borrows its form from the capital letter “D” and provides a visual reference to a cornerstone.

Despite the University’s immeasurable contributions to the city of Chicago, market research indicated that DePaul needed to increase awareness of its impact on the city prior to the campaign launch. The marketing strategy? Reinforce DePaul’s contributions and position DePaul as a “Cornerstone” of the city of Chicago. This brochure introduces the “Cornerstone” themeline and was presented to more than 100 of Chicago’s influential leaders at a breakfast meeting with the mayor. The brochure helped build awareness and enthusiasm and paved the way for a successful capital campaign.
